Designing Organisation Performance

Organisation Performance

Every Organisation has a purpose and relies on the members of the organisation to achieve that purpose. But most Performance Systems are greeted by managers and employees alike with, at best, indifference and, at worst, active hostility. As a result, these systems exist in a parallel world and bare little resemblance to the actual performance of the year.

However, it does not have to be this way. Getting it right can have a significant impact on the business - up to 20% in increased performance (see
Best Practice Note). Successful organisations realise that staff have several needs in relation to the management of their performance. Answering the following questions should be at the core of every performance system - both formal and informal.

Organisation Dynamics will work with you ensure that the manner in which you manage performance is simple (not simplistic), easy to understand and transparent. The focus of such a process should be the (regular) conversation between the manager and his staff answering these 4 key questions. Any system should be supportive and should not get in the way of doing business.
